Academic Leadership Course

The academic leadership course is based in make the students develop academic skills that are important not just for our academic life but is also useful in our professional life. The course helps us to learn how to study and learn more easily the things that are passed for us. It also teaches us to make an academic projects and works. The most important point in this course is to make us develop leadership in a work group, as the name says.

As we already learned, every theme can be turned in an academic project. But we have to choose a topic that we like to search and work with, and also we have to have some intellectual understanding of the theme that we choose. In my case I would like to make an academic project about music, for example. 

Academic projects are very dense and made by a lot of research and knowledge, but it also contain some opinions and points of view that may cause some effects in who is reading our works. Based on it there are a lot of people that instead of reading a project and make their own conclusions, they accept that text that they read as a statement true and make the opinion of the writer them opinions.

We have to be careful with the things that we read and try to take from the articles, tests and books that we read the things that we agree and the things that we do not agree to make our own conclusion. There are some projects made just to make the readers follow the idea of the writers because they want some people to follow their opinion and spread it to others. There is also that writer that based in another project try to chance the main idea of the text to manipulate the writers, they but words and false ideas in some project to make it more similar to what they think and try to pass it for who is reading this project. 

I would feel very disrespect with someone tried to use my ideas to manipulate others. If I write something that has a message behind it, I wrote it because I want this message to be passed, and if someone take my message and add some ideas that change it to make it more comfortable for then it is not fear, worst if they but my name as the owner of the idea that this person built.

In our society there is a lot of supple people that may will believe in every world that I wrote here. For us to change this people and make them more critics, we have to start to teach then from the school that not everything that appears written in a scream or in a beautiful book in the mall is true. We have to teach them how to develop their own opinions and to be more critical about everything that they see. That kind of people has to learn how to search for true information, and built an opinion based in what they agree in those texts

With that we can have a stronger democratic society, where people have their own opinion, their own point of view and try to defend this idea from another point of view that goes in another direction from what they think that is the true.
